Obama brings Michelle to a ';romantic'; weekend of hiking and grilling in North Carolina. How clueless is he?

Should Obama really take a weekend trip when millions have no jobs and our soldiers are in combat? Also, how many women actually find BBQ and hiking to be romantic? I haven't met very many and Michelle definitely does not strike me as the type to go for that sort of thing. Is this another case of Obama just doing whatever he wants without care for the opinions of others - in this case his wife? Is Obama out of touch with not only America but also women? See if you liberals can answer this question without mentioning the words ';President Bush.';Obama brings Michelle to a ';romantic'; weekend of hiking and grilling in North Carolina. How clueless is he?
At least he;s not continuing to read ';My Pet Goat'; after finding our that thousands of Americans had just been slaughtered by terrorists.Obama brings Michelle to a ';romantic'; weekend of hiking and grilling in North Carolina. How clueless is he?
Obama is not the reason the unemployement %26amp; wars started.
Ok what about Sarah Palin... chartering expensive jets and hotels to give 10 minute speeches. Obama has every right to take break. Economy's been on the upswing in case dumb cons like you are too busy watching Fox Biased News.
Obama is fiddling as Rome burns.
how dare he demonstrate traditional family values when we have birth certificate issues to discuss!!

the nerve
Didn't Bush set a record for most vacation days, at 77 in his first year?

As for the whole romantic thing, I'm pretty sure that he knows his wife better than you, and, having two kids and a marriage with her, doesn't need your tips.
When ever has the state of this economy ever stopped Obama? At least he's camping and not spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a dinner in NY.
Maybe she does actually find that romantic, some nice quality alone time with her husband. See in a normal healthy marriage that is something the couple strives for.

I mean really no matter what he did you would find a way to denigrate it.

So he is taking a wholesome all American weekend with his wife, and doing it in the US and of course you people see a problem with that. Yeah I mean camping is sooo extravagant.
Why shouldn't he? Does your job require you to be on 24/7?

Let Michelle tell him what she wants.

And if Obama doesn't care about anyone else's opinion why are you soliciting ours?

Cheers!
OMG-what do you want him to do? He can't just make things better automatically, and going on vacation isn't going to change that. Ashville is beautiful. I went there with my boyfriend years ago and we loved it. Speaking of clueless.
You also complained when Bush was President right??

COLUMN: Record Breaker! Bush Takes Most Vacation Days For Sitting President
Oh please! It's just a damn weekend!!! A weekend won't hurt. You just don't want anybody to bring up Bush (and yes, I mentioned him) because you know he did much worse than Obama is with the whole vacationing thing. And what's wrong with North Carolina? What's wrong with BBQing and hiking? A couple dosen't have to spend thousands of dollars on an uptight fancy resturaunt to enjoy eachother's company. Leave them alone and get a freakin life so that maybe one day YOU'LL have someone to go hiking and cookout with.
I find it rather interesting that a member of the family values /sanctity of marriage crowd has the audacity to tell a legally married couple how to best conduct their marriage
Um cause some former presidents who sucked took more vacation time in their first year than anyone else has taken in their presidency?

How about the fact that a snap decision by the president is not going to fix things. Like you in your job, barring emergencies it can move on without you for a few hours, like you, he can't work 24 hours a day and, like you, particularly if you are in a high stress job, he needs at least a bit of time to relax to keep sane and healthy. This is not bombs being moved in to cuba, it is a long term problem that require deliberate action, not cramming over a weekend. If something that requires an instant decision comes up, he will be informed and handle it. You probably thought it was cute when idiot boy cleared bush at his ranch.
Why not a weekend trip? Bush was on a perpetual mental-break that brought us close to a depression. As for Michelle and other women... what an individual considers romance is different from person to person. The Obama's actually show human and down-to-earth values. He's not a space cadet like Bush.

Yeah right... not mention Bush... uh huh. That is jagged pill to swallow isn't it... TRY to compare.
I agree, he has taken an awful lot of vacation time and played an inordinate amount of golf for a President presiding over the worst economic situation since the Great Depression. Heck, he has not even held a press conference since June of last year. I see the popular answer is about how hard he works but I question even that. How hard does he work? The Stimulus Bill was written by Congress. The Health Care Bill was written by Congressional Staffers. He doesn't even seem to be fully aware of what is in it even now. He has also held quite a few fund raisers, gone campaigning for various Democrat candidates and causes and attended a lot of cocktail parties at the White House.

Look how long it took him to decide on a troop increase in Afghanistan. However, personally, after looking at the chart below, I wish he would just stay on vacation and not ';help'; the economy anymore.

I hope he vacations the rest of his presidency. That way he can stop screwing up America, having fake bipartisan meetings at the white house in front of the press, and we would save a fortune on state dinners.
Sasquatch is right at home in the woods, hiking and BBQ-ing.
I don't have a problem with a president taking a vacation--but I do have a problem with one who smears the American people, tells them to tighten their belts, and then spares no expense on himself. And Palin isn't president--so that argument needs to go away. Furthermore--saying she ';did it too'; doesn't justify squat.
